Stephen Perkins is a sculptor trained and working in the classical tradition. He has studied with sculptors Walker Hancock, Leslie Posey, Elizabeth Chandler as well as painters Henry Hensche, Deane Keller and Nelson Shanks.
Stephen has taught at the New York Academy of Figurative Art, the Academy of Art University, The Grand Central Academy and currently teaches at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. He also teaches workshops nationally and internationally. His awards include the Paul Jenneweirn Medal, the Bartlett Prize and fife academic scholarships from the National Sculpture Society. His work has been awarded by the National Portrait Society and the Art Renewal Center. Stephen maintains a studio on the east coast of Florida while teaching weekly in Philadelphia.
