Drawing Head-Studies Workshop with Charles Miano { featuring special guest model appearances }

The face conveys – and never betrays – the primordial essence of one’s soul and spirit. With this firm belief, Charles Miano will conduct an in-depth study of head drawing in charcoal. Students will gain knowledge of anatomical, skeletal, and muscular structure as well as the key fundamentals of head construction, systems of value, and morphology of form. Through a variety of sitter and poses, Charles will explore the life elements inherent in gesture and rhythm. He will encourage artists to find and capture the expressive mood unique to each sitter with a naturalness and spontaneity of their own. He will demonstrate and discuss how to lend substance and authority to the human portrait.
Fee: $225 plus model share
