You will learn to build a portrait, step-by-step from start to finish. You will grasp the differences in capturing both a male and female likeness. He will teach you the techniques to practice when working from life. You’ll also get a taste of what his Atelier Apprentices experience full-time in the Guild Apprenticeship at his Academy.

This month, Charles is inviting artists of all levels to spend a few hours every week in pensive contemplation, working on independent projects or spending more time polishing their pieces from other Miano Academy classes. This freestyle class will give you some time to work on whatever lights your creative fire, with guidance and critiques from Charles available whenever you need it.
