Description
This November, Miano Academy welcomes fine artist Qiang Huang for a Master Workshop on painting still life’s in oil.
Since his youth in Beijing, China, Huang has carried the heart of an artist. Though his professional life saw him obtaining a Ph. D. in physics and working in optical engineering, he never let go of his passion for art, remaining active in the creative community. Pursuing a formal artistic education later in life, he studied under artists such as David Leffel, Scott Burdick, and Zhoaming Wu. His artistic prowess has been widely recognized, with his paintings featured internationally in both galleries and print.
Through the years of honing his bold signature style, Huang found he was also skilled in helping others along their artistic journeys. Since 2008 he has guided workshops on painting striking still life’s in oil, helping aspiring artists gain mastery and build confidence. A friendly, approachable mentor, he imparts both technical knowledge, alongside wisdom from his personal experiences.
During this multi-day workshop, Huang will share his alla prima -or direct approach- to fine art. Watch -and learn- how he masterfully uses bright, spontaneous color and expressive brushstrokes to create vivid, dynamic fine art, before practicing on your own.
