Ashlyn, 22, was recognized among several artists as 3rd place winner in the prestigious 2022 Art Renewal Center Annual Scholarship Competition.
The Art Renewal Center has awarded direct annual scholarships for 21 years. Awards are given based on overall portfolio of 10-15 works along with a written essay and letters of recommendation.
Ashlyn will take her share of the $31,000 that was distributed to ARC Approved Academy and Ateliers. This year’s judges included ACR Chairman Fred Ross and Dr. Vern Swanson, former Director of Springville Museum of Art in Utah.
Miano Academy of Art was 1 of only 2 American Academies represented in the line up of 13 students, most of which were from academies in Europe. We believe this is a testament not only to the training that we provide, but also to the dedication of our Apprentices.
We know that for Ashlyn, this is just the beginning of a beautiful journey as an artist. To witness the unfolding of skill among our students, especially our Apprentices is one of the most gratifying experiences we have at the Academy. We are encouraged and humbled by Ashlyn’s growth, commitment, and faith in her voyage towards mastery.
Please join us in celebrating Ashlyn’s achievement.
