REGISTRATION
Registrations for Core Classes, Apprenticeship and Sessions are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning on the day stated on the website and print materials. Full payment for atelier core classes and sessions is due upon your completed and signed registration. Atelier core class tickets and session tickets are non refundable and non-transferable. Students may register for classes and sessions over the phone or in person.

DEPOSITS
Full payment for atelier core classes, apprenticeships and sessions is due upon your completed and signed registration.
WAITING LISTS
When a class or session is full, interested students may sign up on the waiting list. Students are notified of openings in order as they sign up. Once notified of an opening, the class/session fee must be paid at this time or their place on the wait list will be forfeited.
CANCELLATION
The Miano Academy reserves the right to cancel the scheduled class/session on the basis of insufficient enrollment or due to circumstances beyond its control. Full refunds will be made if the atelier cancels a class/session.
There are no refunds for no-shows or withdrawals from participation in classes, sessions or apprenticeships on the part of the student.
DISMISSAL
Miano Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student whose conduct is inappropriate. A refund will not be given.
SUBSTITUTION
Miano Academy reserves the right to provide qualified substitutes for its scheduled instructors in the event of professional or personal changes in the class/sessions schedule.
STUDENT WORK
Miano Academy reserves the right to retain any student work, on a temporary basis, for exhibition and promotional purposes.
SUPPLY LIST and ART SUPPLIES
Supply lists will be available upon receiving completed and signed registration and full payment. Please bring all required supplies listed for the applicable class.
Please Note: The school is not responsible for providing refunds or credits for sessions missed as a result of illness, emergencies or other events beyond our control; however extenuating circumstances will be evaluated on an individual basis.
ATELIER WORKSHOP POLICY
REGISTRATION
The applicable deposit for domestic workshops is due upon your completed and signed registration. Early registration is encouraged, as many workshops fill quickly. Students may register for workshops over the phone, by mail or in person.

2) To register for a workshop by mail, send completed and signed Workshop Registration Form plus the applicable non-refundable deposit amount (per workshop/per person) to:

DEPOSITS
A non-refundable workshop deposit of $100 per person is due upon submission of completed and signed application. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to commencement of the workshop. Applications are taken in order of deposits received.
WAITING LISTS
When a workshop is full, interested participants may sign up on the waiting list. No deposit is required to be on the waiting list; however, once a student is notified of an opening, the non-refundable deposit and balance due must be paid at this time or their place on the list will be forfeited.
CANCELLATION
Miano Academy of Art reserves the right to cancel the scheduled workshop on the basis of insufficient enrollment or due to circumstances beyond its control. If the workshop is cancelled by the workshop instructor or Miano Academy at any time students will be completely refunded.
Should a student need to cancel for any reason:
90 days before commencement of workshop:
Loss of 50% of the cost of the workshop per person excluding the understood and agreed non-refundable deposit.
89 days or less before commencement of workshop:
Loss of 100% of the cost of the workshop per person.
Time of cancellation will be when written notice is received by Miano Acadmy of Art.

TRANSFER POLICY
All domestic workshops are non-transferable.

FLIGHTS
Miano Academy not held responsible should delays, cancellations or problems result from your flight carrier going to/from workshop destination. We strongly encourage all students to buy refundable airline tickets in case of workshop cancellations or other unforeseen changes.
WORKSHOP LOCATION
Most domestic workshops are held at the atelier. Plein air workshops will meet at the atelier on the first day unless otherwise noted. Directions are on our website. Call if you have questions
CHANGES
Miano Academy reserves the right to modify a workshop (i.e.: logistics, inclement weather, etc.) should the situation deem necessary.

Plein air workshops require students to bring their own travel easel. Those who will be flying to a Miano Academy workshop venue will be given additional information regarding traveling with artist’s materials.
TRAVEL & LODGING
Miano Academy of Art is located minutes from The John and Mabel Ringling Museum, downtown Sarasota and the beautiful Gulf Beaches. We are approximately a 25 minute drive from the Sarasota International Airport (SRQ) and 60 minutes from Tampa International Airport (TPA). Workshop students will need to rent a car or arrange for transportation.
